Uni test
I have, for a long time, known that I am more skilful in language than in maths.
I think I chose to study the science program more because I experienced maths as not as complex and more logic than language, although I do have a degree from the language program as well.
Anyway, despite two degrees and several Uni degrees (teacher 1-7 maths/science/English), English B and C, Maths for teaching grade 8 and 9 and Maths for younger stages I wanted to take the University test because of curiosity, to see what I score.
I was rather nervous but mainly for the maths. I had had no time to practice since I had my busiest time since work started in August with grading, parent meetings and writing feedback...and oh, ofc my ordinary teaching...and Tradera
I drank 1,5 mug of coffee in the morning Saturday morning (but forgot to eat any breakfast) before I left home to take the test. It was lucky that I drank so much coffee, because on my first break I discovered that the money changing machine was broken (--> negative result in getting any caffeine)....and on my second break I discovered that the coffee machine was broken (--> negative result in getting any caffeine) ;(
On the lunch break I cycled to the centre to grab some food at the nearest place...I ended up eating a pizza at Napoli where a nail artist's assistant talked to me during the whole lunch. He seemed very interested in me for some reason. Maybe he saw some potential in my nails :p Then I went to the bakery "Kafferepet" and bought a to-go coffee and headed back to Finnvedens gymnasium where the testing took place.
The verbal part was easy. I only had 6 errors in total on those, which might get me in the 2,0 group. The maths was hard though...mainly because I am so slow. Many of them I could have solved but I simply don't think quick enough. I only scored every second (1,0 maybe...so low) so I am thinking in practising only them, doing another test and then (hopefully) make up for such a lousy result. On one of the maths tests the woman next to me had hiccups...and she continued with that (and very loudly so) through the whole f-ing test. That might have had some effect on my result because it made me annoyed to the point that I wanted to wring her neck to make her stop :p
I saw some of my old pupils at the school. Some said hi, one of them was nice and talked for a while. I like that. I want all of my former pupils do well in life, since I do care about them all. When they talk to me I think that it might be mutual :)
Anyways...I am not totally sure on my score yet since they adjust it every year, so I won't know for another month. I am satisfied with the verbal part but not with the maths. I sucked monkey balls on that.
